From 1895, he was a contributor to Torontál in Nagybecskerek, and in 1898, he edited Köszörűs. From 1900, he was a contributor to Szegedi Napló. His writings were also published in Szeged és Vidéke, Délmagyarország, and Szegedi Híradó. Between 1903 and 1950, he served as chief archivist in Szeged. In his humorous sketches, short stories, and feuilletons, he wrote in a colorful, anecdotal style about the bygone world and figures of Torontál County. He discovered Gyula Juhász, and later, together with him, became a patron of the young Attila József. He is featured in the Vajdasági magyar írók almanachja (1924) edited by Dettre–Radó, the almanac Vagyunk (1928), and the short story anthology Délvidéki elbeszélők (n.d.).
