In 1989, he obtained a specialist diploma in neuropsychiatry from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Novi Sad. In 1999, he completed psychotherapy training in Belgrade. From 1981 to 1985, he worked as a general practitioner in Oroszlanos. Between 1986 and 1998, he worked in the neuropsychiatric department of the hospital in Novi Knezevac. From 1999 to 2000, he was the head of the neuropsychological unit of the neurological department at the Subotica hospital. From 2006, he was the head of the day hospital in the psychiatric department. From 2000, he worked as a secondary school subject teacher.
