Gábrity Molnár Irén

Dr. Gábrity Molnár Irén was born in Lukácsfalva (in the municipality of Nagybecskerek) on December 31, 1954. She lives in Subotica. She is a university professor at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad. In 1973, she graduated from the Koča Kolarov Gymnasium in Nagybecskerek. In 1977, she earned her university degree from the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad. In 1981, she obtained her master's degree from the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade. She defended her doctoral dissertation, also at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, in 1986 (title of dissertation: Uloga sindikata u integraciji radničke klase. The role of trade unions in the integration of the working class. Mentor: Prof. Dr. Najdan Pašić).

Throughout her career, she has taught at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad, the Teacher Training College in Subotica, and the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. She was also a visiting researcher at the Karl Marx University of Economic Sciences. From 1998, she taught as a visiting lecturer at the Subotica branch of the Teacher Training Faculty of Sombor, and from 2006, at the Teacher Training Faculty with Hungarian Language of Instruction, as well as at the Subotica Consultation Center of the Gábor Dénes College of Informatics and Management between 1997 and 2008.

She is a part-time lecturer at the Juhász Gyula Faculty of Education, University of Szeged, and from 2012, at the political science master's program of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, University of Szeged. She is a co-supervisor at the Doctoral School of Regional Policy and Economics, University of Pécs (since 2006). She participated as a lecturer at the Budapest branch of the Hungarian Dance Academy, in the Carpathian Basin Heritage Vojvodina Folk Dance and Folk Music Pedagogue School's Subotica training (Applied Minority Sociology, 2010–2011).

Her research areas include: economic sociology; sociology of education; human resources and minority research.
