Dr. Gábrity Molnár Irén was born in Lukácsfalva (in the municipality of Nagybecskerek) on December 31, 1954. She lives in Subotica. She is a university professor at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad. In 1973, she graduated from the Koča Kolarov Gymnasium in Nagybecskerek. She defended her doctoral dissertation, also at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, in 1986 (title of dissertation: Uloga sindikata u integraciji radničke klase. Throughout her career, she has taught at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad, the Teacher Training College in Subotica, and the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad.
