After the Yugoslav events of October 5, 2000, which some refer to as a "change of power" and others as a "half-turn," the Democratic Opposition of Serbia (DOS) was faced with the issue of regulating human and minority rights, in accordance with international legal instruments. This was partly based on pre-election promises and partly as a condition for integration into the international community, and it became one of the primary expectations and demands.
In this publication, we present – in order of importance – seven legal documents (in the first part, four belonging to domestic law, and in the second part, two international multilateral and one bilateral document) that currently form the framework of human and minority rights in Serbia and Montenegro.
