He completed primary and secondary school (1972) in Zrenjanin. In 1976, he graduated from the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. Between 1977 and 1982, he worked as a journalist for Novi Sad Television. From 1982, he was a foreign policy editor, editor-in-chief, deputy director, acting director, and from 2011, director of Radio Novi Sad. His humorous writings and political fables for adults were published in Napló and Grimasz. In 1989, together with librarian Peter Heinermann and cartoonist Pal Lephaft, he established the political cabaret called Telepi Radio, and in 1998, its visual counterpart, LUK TV. In 2002, he co-founded the Pro Media Civil Organization with Peter Sandorov in Novi Sad, which operates the Vojvodina Hungarian School of Journalism. For years, he reported for Hungarian Radio, and from 1992 to 2005, he was the Yugoslavian correspondent for the BBC's Hungarian programs. From 1999 to 2009, as the press officer of the Executive Committee of the Hungarian National Council, he played a role in developing the Hungarian information system in Vojvodina. In 2005, together with Attila Ambrus, president of the Association of Hungarian Journalists in Romania, he initiated the establishment of the Convention of Hungarian Journalists' Associations Abroad. From 2022, he is the acting CEO of Radio Television of Vojvodina.
