Jódal Rózsa
Biography
He completed primary and secondary school (1958) in Vršac, and the Hungarian-German program at the Teacher Training College in Novi Sad in 1961. In 1970, he graduated from the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. From 1960, for over two decades, he was a staff member of Jó Pajtás, head of its literary section, and from 1980 to 1994, a dramaturg at Radio Novi Sad. From 1994, he was retired but continued to work at Radio Novi Sad on an honorarium basis. In addition to his independent volumes, he published in numerous anthologies. His radio plays and children's stories were broadcast in Hungarian, Serbian, Slovak, Romanian, Rusyn, and Macedonian by Radio Novi Sad and Radio Skopje. Several of his series appeared in Jó Pajtás and Mézeskalács. In the former, he wrote about Hadaró Jutka for twenty-seven years, about Mindenfáj Jánoska and Gizi and Géza for five years each, and about Móni for four years and Csilla for three years in Mézeskalács monthly, or in every issue. He dramatized several novels for Radio Novi Sad's program titled Rádióregény. Since 2015, he has published nearly 230 book reviews in Radio Novi Sad's cultural program Szempont.
