She completed primary school in Ürményháza, and secondary school in Vršac and Subotica (1980). In 1986, she obtained a teaching degree from the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. In 1991, she earned a master's degree in literary studies in Novi Sad (Theoretical and Methodological Questions of János Arany's Criticisms). In 1997, she received a PhD in literature in Szeged (András Fáy and Integrated Literature). From 1985 to 1986, she was a lecturer at Radio Novi Sad. Between 1986 and 1993, she was an assistant lecturer at the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature. Since 1992, she has been living in Hungary. From 1994 to 1999, she worked as a librarian and part-time lecturer at the Department of Hungarian Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts, JATE, Szeged. From 1999, she was an assistant professor, and from 2001, an associate professor at the Department of Classical Hungarian Literature, Faculty of Arts, University of Szeged. She is a contributor to the critical edition of János Arany's works.
