Vajdasági magyar ki kicsoda 2010

On International Mother Language Day, February 21, 2011, the publication titled "Vajdasági magyar ki kicsoda 2010" (Who's Who of Vojvodina Hungarians 2010) was officially presented in Ada, Vojvodina, at the town hall. The lexicon provides up-to-date information on prominent figures in the Hungarian public life of Vojvodina.
The "Vajdasági magyar ki kicsoda" is now in its second edition. The first edition was released to readers in 2004. The authorial duo supplemented and revised the approximately 600 entries from the previous volume with data on an additional 600 well-known and lesser-known distinguished personalities. The soon-to-be-published volume thus contains the biographies of a total of 1200 individuals, each accompanied by a photograph.

"In spirit, a community is mature and socially capable of development if it is aware of its own values, respects itself, and possesses a communal identity. The reverse is also true: if a community does not value its own great figures, if it numbly overlooks them while admiring the great figures of other peoples, if it always conforms to the norms of others instead of its own creative will, its fate is decay. The purpose of our publication is to showcase our own intellectual values, to strengthen our community in its faith and bonds" - reads the back cover of the substantial publication.
