Whoever picks up this book will find themselves in a peculiar world. It contains a selection from the Hungarian legend and saga treasury originating from the northern part of Vojvodina's Banat (Serbian name: Banat). The sagas and legends readable here were either recorded in this area by researchers of folk poetry, or they originate from elsewhere but their content is tied to this region or one of its localities.
