Béla Bálint was born in 1952 in Tisza-Szentmiklós (Miloševo). He completed his schooling in Senta, where he was one of the founding members of the Térzene literary group. From 1970–71, he edited the Senta youth magazine Mi. He is currently a student at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad; he is also the editor of the Hungarian program at the Novi Sad Youth Tribune. His poems, short stories, and literary translations have been published in journals and newspapers since 1970. He was featured in the collections Térzene (1971) and Versek éve 76.
