To nurture the relationship and maintain a good atmosphere, we must continuously make positive gestures towards each other. In practice, the opposite usually happens, with criticism and accountability becoming the dominant attitudes in relationships.

Sándor Hódi's book is very readable; it does not require prior professional knowledge from the reader, general education and an interest in the subject are sufficient. The book's aim is not merely to disseminate knowledge, although it significantly expands our understanding of relationships and marital conflicts, but it also provides a realistic assessment of Hungarian marriages in Vojvodina. It offers new insights that can significantly contribute to a better understanding of ourselves and to the more successful organization of our personal, family, and community lives.
