He completed primary school in his birthplace and gymnasium in Zrenjanin, and is a student at the Novi Sad Electrotechnical College. In 1988, he obtained a Category C folk dance instructor qualification in Pécs, and in 1990, a Category B qualification in Budapest. In 1994, he also qualified as a video editor-cameraman in Budapest. He was the initiator and founder of the Vojvodina Hungarian Folklore Centre, established in 1995, where he served first as secretary, then as professional advisor, and later as president.
