He completed primary and secondary school (1974) in Subotica. In 1981, he earned a university degree in Hungarian-Serbo-Croatian-Aesthetics from ELTE. From 1989 to 1991, he was the manager of the Nolit Bookstore in Subotica. From 1993, he worked as a director and performer at the Opál Theatre in Budapest. Between 1995 and 2001, he was the artistic director of the Black-Black Gallery in Budapest, and between 2002 and 2005, of Merz Ház. From 2006 to 2010, he was a director at Zrem Filmstúdió. From 2013, he became the artistic director of Mersz Overgrund Klub. He has edited several publications. He has (guest)directed in Subotica, Zagreb, Gheorgheni, and Budapest.
