He completed elementary school in his native village, then worked there as a merchant's assistant. He obtained a pharmacy degree in Belgrade. He worked as a pharmacist in Pancevo and his birthplace. Fearing fascism, he committed suicide as a soldier. He was a correspondent for newspapers in Backa (Napló, Képes Vasárnap, Hétről-Hétre).
