He completed elementary school in Fejértelep, Vrsac, and Zrenjanin, and the technical secondary school for civil engineering (1951) and college (1962) in Subotica. In 1980, he graduated from the Faculty of Organizational Sciences at the University of Belgrade. Between 1952 and 1995, he worked as a manager, chief engineer, structural designer, technical director, and director on construction sites in several cities across the country (Maglaj, Banovici, Kikinda, Vrsac).
