The complete edition of the poems from the oeuvre of János Sziveri, the editor-in-chief of the legendary Novi Sad journal Új Symposion, which was destroyed in the 1980s, and a Vojvodina poet who died young in exile in Pest, was published once, and only now, seventeen years later, is a volume encompassing his entire work being released. János Sziveri's intellectual legacy is a triple blend of outstanding literary achievement, the fate of a minority, and a radically undertaken political role against dictatorship. In addition to his poetic output, the editors of the volume publish Sziveri's dramas, art writings, drawings, and also give voice to the "autobiographical" author: following the grotesque titled A rövid élet titka (The Secret of a Short Life), the texts of two major life-story interviews from 1989 are presented, in both of which Sziveri wrote, expanded in an essay-like manner, and shaped his answers, based on questions from Tibor Keresztury in one, and his old friend Tibor Zalán in the other.
